Amazing Flat Georges V

This was a very nice large apartment which was just as pictured. The beds and linens were nice and comfortable. There is a good restaurant next door. The woman who checked us in was very friendly and spoke good English but seemed very rushed. May be because we were late due to difficulty getting a cab at the airport big enough to hold our luggage. After overnight flight and trying to get a cab I could not think of the questions to ask including WiFi info. That should have been upfront info provided at check-in. The kitchen was nice and seemed well equipped although we didn’t cook anything.A Franprix is a couple of blocks away and Champs Elysees with Monoprix and luxury stores a few blocks in the other direction. The George V Metro is also few blocks away but we did find that it required long routes and multiple metro changes to get to some of our destinations eg Eiffel Tower and Musee d’Orsay so we used taxis. We probably could have done better with the use of buses but we are not familiar with buses in Paris. The main deficiencies were total lack of information about the neighborhood and apartment workings. Written information would have greatly improved our visit. No idea where to start trying to use the TV. There was no info on clothes washer. Not totally clear if only washed or also dried. No idea about the dishwasher and just guessed on the buttons to push. The weather was perfect so didn’t need heating or a/c but no information on that either. Just shown a remote.

Great, well-located and spacious flat. Check-in and check-out were painless and we enjoyed the comfortably appointed rooms, lift and air conditioning.

The property is very well located, easy access to metro and in a premium locality. close to the hustle, but away from the noise.The flat is large, spacious, has an elevator and airconditioing in the bedrooms - a rarity in Paris, but now a must have in summer thanks to the heat.However, the place is a bit shabby. The kitchen post and pans need updating, as do the misc crockery that seems collected over the years. It was not well cleaned when handed over to us and seemed like the house of a rich but old aunt - beautiful in its heyday with gorgeous furniture and statement peices, but now stained and needing updating. Creaky and sagging floors, windowws that dont close properly...but huge bathroom and large soaker tub. So depends on what you are looking for and what you cant deal with.For us, we were happy to come home to cool bliss, and overlooked everything else.. but for the price we paid, expected a more professionally kept place.
